She also patiently answered individual questions from the attendees, providing one-on-one legal guidance. This lecture effectively enhanced the elderly's ability to protect their rights and prevent fraud, contributing to a safe, harmonious, and caring elderly care environment. (Zhenjiang Branch)

Honors and Achievements

When an inheritance case reaches an impasse due to the absence of an heir or the renunciation of inheritance by all heirs, properly handling the estate and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of creditors and other stakeholders becomes a practical challenge. This month, a landmark case in Taizhou, the first of its kind involving an estate administrator, made significant progress. Jiangsu Boomstar (Taizhou) Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as the "Taizhou Branch") was entrusted by the estate administrator to serve as legal counsel throughout the process. Currently, the estate property involved in the case has been successfully auctioned after a formal appraisal. This case provides a judicial solution to the difficult problem of disposing of unclaimed estates and brings the newly added estate administrator system under the Civil Code from legal text into judicial practice.

After the decedent's passing, all statutory heirs submitted declarations of renunciation of inheritance to the court, leaving the estate in a state of limbo for an extended period. After being entrusted by the estate administrator, the Taizhou Branch strictly followed legal procedures, comprehensively investigating the estate, issuing public notices for creditor claims, commissioning appraisals, and conducting public auctions. The entire process was standardized, transparent, and rigorous, maximizing the value of the estate while fully protecting the legitimate rights and interests of creditors. As the final auction proceeds were significantly lower than the total amount of debt owed by the decedent, the estate administrator will, after deducting necessary expenses, settle the decedent's debts according to the statutory order of priority. This case not only fills a practical gap in the Taizhou region but also uses professional legal services to safeguard property order and convey judicial warmth. Moving forward, the Taizhou Branch will continue to assist the estate administrator in legally distributing the auction proceeds, settling debts, and facilitating the transfer of real estate ownership, bringing this case to a successful conclusion while also accumulating valuable "first-case" experience for handling similar cases in the Taizhou region in the future.
