Minor Protection

After its establishment, the workstation actively reached a cooperation agreement with the Jianye District People’s Court of Nanjing on May 29, 2019. It set up a reception day, assigned duty lawyers to provide consultation, and assisted in cases involving minors. The workstation provides legal aid for cases related to the protection of minors’ rights in orphaned and impoverished families, including:

1. Child support claims

2. Personal injury compensation cases

3. Inheritance disputes

4. Custody modification cases

5. Guardianship matters

6. Visitation rights cases

7. Other cases aligned with the project’s mission

Since its establishment, the workstation has handled nearly 1,000 consultations, represented 90 cases, and conducted three lectures on minors' rights. It has successfully represented cases such as Qian v. Xu (non-marital child support dispute), Chen v. Zhang (minor’s child support dispute), and Miao v. A Fitness Center (education training contract dispute). The workstation also actively promotes legal awareness, organizes public legal education programs, and has successfully hosted multiple "Law-Seeking Task Force" Children's Mock Court sessions. Recognized as a public welfare project by the Jianye District Government, it has been highlighted in the Jianye District Court's "Reporting to the People" series for its contributions to strengthening the legal aid network for minors.
