In recent years, Jiangsu Boomstar Law Firm has adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, maintained the correct political direction, continuously promoted the high-quality development of legal services, and prioritized the education and training of young lawyers in the firm’s operations, management, and service work. The firm closely integrates theory with practice, actively explores training models that align with the legal profession's development and the firm’s unique characteristics, and gradually establishes and improves the system for educating and training young lawyers.


Basic Model of Young Lawyers' Education and Training


The education and training of young lawyers are systematically incorporated into the overall framework of legal practice and the firm’s high-quality development. The firm adheres to the principles of cultural development, professional excellence, and brand enhancement, emphasizing a people-centered approach and promoting firm development through Party-building initiatives. A talent development strategy has been implemented to refine the mechanisms for young lawyers' education and training, formulate and execute key annual work projects, and encourage young lawyers to engage in self-education and self-improvement. The goal is to cultivate lawyers who meet the expectations of both the Party and the public, creating a supportive environment for young lawyers at the firm and within practice teams to facilitate their healthy professional growth.


Fundamental System of Young Lawyers' Education and Training


(I) Improving the Working Mechanism


Based on the firm’s charter, a structured institutional framework has been established to promote young lawyers' education and training. The Party organization plays a crucial role in ensuring the correct political direction, uniting and mobilizing lawyers, advancing the profession, fostering a progressive culture, and nurturing legal talent. To solidify the political foundation for young lawyers' education and training, the Party branch collaborates with the management committee to develop and implement the "Opinions on Further Promoting Party-Building to Enhance Firm Development." This initiative aims to enhance leadership effectiveness, optimize collaborative management mechanisms, build development platforms, and explore new approaches to legal education.


The firm focuses on improving young lawyers' professional skills, expanding their business opportunities, and supporting their career development through structured pathways for Party membership, promotions, and professional recognition. Specific measures include providing guidance for young lawyers interested in public office, offering mentorship programs, and implementing welfare initiatives for young lawyers, female lawyers, financially disadvantaged lawyers, and trainees. To ensure an organized approach, the firm has established a dedicated Young Lawyers Training Department, with designated Party and management committee members responsible for overseeing the education and training of young lawyers.


(II) Strengthening Political Leadership


The firm strictly adheres to central directives, including the "Opinions on Consolidating and Deepening the Achievements of the 'Stay True to the Original Aspiration, Keep the Mission Firmly in Mind' Thematic Education," and complies with the Ministry of Justice and the National Lawyers Association’s guidelines on conducting thematic activities such as "Stay True to the Original Aspiration, Keep the Mission Firmly in Mind, and Strive to Be a Lawyer Satisfactory to the Party and the People." The firm actively organizes "Four Histories" education programs and studies related to the 20th National Congress, reinforcing historical awareness and fostering patriotism. These initiatives help young lawyers inherit the red tradition, strengthen political identity, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and support the socialist rule of law with integrity and professionalism.


Regular training sessions are conducted on fundamental legal practice, professional ethics, and discipline to enhance young lawyers' professional conduct. The firm implements an ideological responsibility system to monitor and analyze young lawyers' political perspectives, guiding them to oppose and resist erroneous views while mitigating political risks. Additionally, the firm enhances publicity efforts related to Party policies, history, and Party-building work, maintaining a dedicated Party-building section on its website and official WeChat account to share updates and discussions.


(III) Promoting Business Development


The firm focuses on building a robust and professional young lawyer workforce, fostering innovation in legal services, and encouraging young lawyers to participate in public welfare legal initiatives as part of their social responsibility. To recognize and showcase outstanding legal work and business development, the firm has hosted events such as the "2022 Outstanding Business Achievements Selection," two editions of the "Legal Service Product Competition," and two editions of the "Legal Advisory Error Correction Competition."


In line with legal industry reforms, the firm actively explores new modes of Party-building collaboration by strengthening partnerships with governmental and corporate legal departments. These collaborations facilitate business referrals and integrate legal services into broader social governance. The firm has also established the "Legal Service Vanguard (United Hearts) Team," composed mainly of "post-80s" and "post-90s" Party-member lawyers, along with members from democratic parties and young legal experts. (IV) Optimizing the Talent Development Environment


A scientifically sound cost accounting and performance evaluation system has been established to assess all employees, including young lawyers, based on their contributions. Compensation and remuneration are determined accordingly, with continuous efforts to improve young lawyers' earnings. The firm promotes the principles of resource-sharing and specialization, accelerating the integration of legal practice resources, knowledge, professional skills, and business achievements to enhance collective benefits.


Young lawyers are encouraged to leverage their expertise and interests to join or establish specialized legal teams, strengthening their capabilities while advancing their careers alongside the firm and their teams.
